Dear Contessa,
Here I'm writing again. The item I'm requestion is NOT an official release and hasn't been labeled or autorized anywhere I assume.
I do appreciate if you could help me complete my Keith Tippett archive. If you have this item available [[ KEITH TIPPETT and
the ELYSIAN STRING QUARTET - Live at the London Jazz Festival 2008 (Radio Broadcast) ]] I still do want it.
Hello again dear Cyrus :-))
yes, you are absolutely right, this is a concert, but nevertheless it has been officially released, and it appears officially
on a list of Keith Tippett's published works. I don't remember now where is this site that tells about all these recordings
(studio and not), but one more detail that now comes back to my mind (although it's difficult to keep it up with each single
record that I have uploaded), is that this concert was broadcated live by some Radio Station (probably even the BBC,
coz it's recorded in London), as you know, and this should theorically mean that if not Tippett personally, then this
Radio station does own the rights.
Now tell me, what shall one in my place do?
One kiss for your toughness, it's people like you (and me) who finally manage to find what they look for.
Your Vanessa
Dear Vanessa,
Under Circular 1 of Copyright provided by the laws of the United States (title 17, U.S. Code), page 4, under "Publication" it reads:
"The reports state that it is clear that any form of dissemination of the underlying work, for example performances or displays on
television [or radio], is NOT a publication no matter how many people are exposed to the work."
You're the best music listener I found,
regards,
Cyrus
Dear Cyrus,
So, it's allright - I'll load the file again and will send you :-)
With a big smile, enjoy it!!
